Upstate Financial Education Week | July 16-20

Qualitas of Life Foundation in collaboration with Agri-Business Children Development (ABCD) will hold the Upstate Financial Education Week from 16-20 of July, 2018. Throughout this week, Qualitas will provide the workshop “Get Ready: Migratory processes and my money” in five locations in the northwest of the state of New York:

Fredonia, NY: Monday 16th from 12 to 2 PM
Lockport, NY: Tuesday 17th from 6 to 9 PM
Albion, NY: Wednesday 18th from 6 to 9 PM
Red Creek, NY: Thursday 19th from 6 to 9 PM
Williamson, NY: Friday 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM

These workshops will seek to answer basic and fundamental questions such as what would happen to my money if I am deported? What rights and obligations do I have? How can I prepare for a migratory process? How do I make an emergency plan for my whole family?

With “Get Ready” workshop Qualitas emphasizes the need to be prepared, knowledge of basic rights and the prevention of financial fraud in the United States, as well as the importance to have an emergency plan in case an immigration process like a deportation happens. Information that will allow our community to be prepare and make better decisions with a concrete plan of action.
