Our current programs are designed to reach the broad and diverse Hispanic community and are tailored to meet the specific needs of each distinct group we serve in partnership with local service providers.
We currently offer courses, workshops, Key Advice Sessions (KAS), financial education fairs, and webinars.
Through our workshops, we enable our participants to use their available resources to improve their personal finances and provide more opportunities for their families. As they become economically secure, they can focus on attaining their personal goals and aspirations.
The overall objective of the program is to ensure that each participant is able to analyze their own financial situation, establish clear financial goals and gain the necessary knowledge and skills to plan towards their goals. What makes the program unique is the strategic way in which we integrate trust-building, empowering, and community-building elements into the curriculum – created specifically for the Hispanic population. Over time, participants begin to improve their financial security by opening bank accounts, eliminating their credit card debt, improving their credit score, keeping a budget and avoiding high tariffs by unregulated loan officers and check cashing establishments.
Upon completing the courses, many graduates have obtained credit, secured insurance, opened bank accounts, and learned the basic skills to better manage their household finances while communicating more openly about it with their families.
