It is a joy for Qualitas of Life to welcome Ana Flores as the new director of education to our organization. Flores has experience in managing nonprofit organizations aimed at serving Hispanic communities living in the United States.
Ana Flores incorporation to the Qualitas of Life family leads us to the planning of new projects in education, and of course, to the achievement of those already underway.
Within her career, Ana Flores has worked in institutions such as: Mi Casa es Puebla, in its two headquarters located in Manhattan (New York) and in Passaic (New Jersey). For seven years, she worked in different areas of the Consulate of Mexico in Philadelphia, standing out among them: public relations, tourism, economic and cultural promotion. She also served as Executive Director of the Mexican Cultural Center.
Flores holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration, a Certificate in Nonprofit Organization Management granted by the University of Pennsylvania Fels Institute of Government, and a Certificate in Politics from the same university. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations at the University of the Americas-Puebla, Mexico.
In 2018, Flores received the “Community Leadership” award in New York granted by FAMA Premios Latinos and in the same year, she was part of the Delegation of Projects for Leaders of the Latino Diaspora Leaders of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) which was held in Israel. He is also a member of the board of the “Global Philadelphia Association” and a member of the Advisory Board of the Latino Film Festival in Philadelphia.
Finally, it should be noted that in 2014 the publication, “Philadelphia Neighborhoods”, named Ana Flores as one of the “Five people who is making a difference” in the Latino community of Philadelphia.
